The Concept of Coexistence between Craft and Fine Arts in Postmodernism “A Critical Study”

Abstract

By following postmodernism trends, the necessity of rethinking in our convictions about what is authentic art is appeared, and rethinking in traditional artistic visions which led to distinguish between "Fine Arts" and "Applied Arts" and considered "Geometric patterns, Gemmation and Plant securitization" topics in art are just decorative inscriptions pertain"Applied Art" or consider one of the "traditional crafts" which do not upscales to the level of art which expresses artist personality and materialize  his unique creative vision, because all required from the  applied product is fulfillment qualifications functional suitability in practical life. In postmodernism concept the art discovered marginalized art and retrieved its prope position, and gave geometric formations, the flowers and landscape its position, and replaced bilateral contradictory issue by equality and coexistence between what is functional and what is aesthetic. Therefore the rsearch aims to analysis critical content for some ideational and philosophical opinions hrough the ages for the aesthetic concept of craft and fine arts, and revealing of the aesthetic concept to transcend bilateral contradictory "Fine and Applied Arts" in samples of works of art, for revealing about Conceptual dimensions, and re-vision by postmodernism concept, and extraction what it reflects from values and criterias, to be fundament to our aesthetic judgments.
