The effectiveness of a proposed training unit for some basics of sewing for people with special needs

Abstract

This research aims to build a training unit to develop basic sewing skills among the mobility handicapped group (upper limb amputee) And that by determining some of the basics of knitting that are suitable for the mobility impaired, Designing a training unit for the physically challenged and measuring its effectiveness in the acquisition of the physically challenged with the basic knowledge of basic sewing, And measuring the effectiveness of the training unit in providing the disabled with mobility with basic sewing skills, The research used the quasi-experimental approach and the descriptive approach to describe and analyze basic knitting skills for people with special needs, The number of the sample was chosen, 17 individuals with a mobility disability, The results indicated the effectiveness of the training unit in providing the trainees with knowledge and skills related to basic knitting, The study recommended the necessity of preparing training programs and units for people with special needs, integrating them into society and making use of their productive energies.
