The effectiveness of a suggested educational unit, "Stereoscopic crochet supported by optical fibers" in the course on home decoration works and decorations for students of home economics

The addition or development of new academic units is important for updating the curriculum in a way that benefits the new information revolution. Crochet is a branch of needlework that requires skill during work. It is a beautiful, easy to learn and fun art that helps people with desire and skill to create many high-end handicrafts, and the researchers found the need to invest the motivation of postgraduate students, the second group, a special diploma in clothing and weaving to learn new skills in crochet The holographic fiber reinforced with optical fibers for home decoration and decoration, The research aims to prepare a proposed educational unit in the course (Applied Project: Home Decorating Works and Decorations) titled “3D Fiber Optic Crochet for Decorating and Decorating Home”, and measuring the effectiveness of the proposed educational unit for students in acquiring the knowledge and skills included in it, and measuring students ’attitudes towards the educational unit. Proposed, The importance of the research lies in developing academic courses by introducing the proposed educational units, and the research sample consisted of (8) female students, who are postgraduate students, second division, special diploma, clothing and fabric, Department of Home Economics - College of Specific Education - Minia University, and the research followed the descriptive, analytical and semi-experimental approaches. Findings from the following:
1- There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of female students in the pre and post application of the educational unit in favor of the post application.
