Complementarily of Form and Function by Developing Aesthetic Formulations of Metal Wires as Complements to Women's Dress

Abstract

Recently,  dress  accessories  have become crucial  in art design. They attract different tastes of society. Metallic wires with their various plastic potentialities and high elasticity can be utilized to develop dress accessories. Integrating metallic wires into scarfs using some techniques of wire formation is so creative. Developing art students'  creativity is one main goal of art education. So, the current research aimed at utilizing metallic wires in  making scarf accessories for developing  art students' creativity. The sample of the study was the second year students at the Faculty of Specific Education, Kafr El Shiekh University. The current research may be significant as it  provides art students  with  new techniques in accessories design and formation,  develops their creativity and  qualifies them for labor market  and establishing small projects that may increase their income. Results of the current research revealed  experimental group students' utilization of metallic wires' plastic skills in accessories design and formation and the development of  their  creativity  in  matching between the formation  of metallic wires and their function.
