An Innovative Figurative Vision for the Production of Children's Toys Inspired by the Characters of Science Fiction Films

Abstract

There are many definitions that dealt with the concept of imagination; Imagination is the element that distinguishes man, so it has been of great importance in the field of humanities and the field of philosophical and psychological studies in general, and in the field of figurative art in particular. The science fiction was the gateway to the literature of fantasy in all its forms, and this trend is a result of technological development and through research, science fiction has been discovered as a modern educational means, as it has become very popular for stories inspired by science fiction. Technological progress that accompanied the era is behind the boom, especially since most of those stories dealt with the future, so science fiction stories were called future stories. Which led to shedding light on science fiction films and the extent of benefiting from them in the production of modern children's games.
The aim of the research: to develop innovative designs inspired by the characters of science fiction films. Combining various industrial materials to make a model toy inspired by the characters of science fiction films
The importance of the research is due to the use of science fiction films to produce modern and innovative children's games in which the aesthetic, creative and Figurative art aspects are achieved and open new horizons for small industries and projects in which sustainable development is achieved.
Contribute to enriching the student's thinking by finding an experimental vision for the design of a child's game inspired by the characters of science fiction films.
The research sample was selected from the third year students in the Department of Art Education, Faculty of Specific Education, Kafrelsheikh University for the subject of sculpture, and the sample consisted of 15 students for the academic year 2021-2022.
The students used various materials (clay - gypsum - paper - wire...etc...) and made designs inspired by the characters of science fiction films.
