Evaluation of the media elite for the performance of digital radio stations

Abstract

Abstract:
This study aimed to identify the media elite's evaluation of the media performance of digital broadcasts, by monitoring the extent to which these broadcasts adhere to professional, ethical and social responsibility standards from the point of view of the elite, in addition to knowing the obstacles that hinder the media performance of these broadcasts, and the elite's proposals to develop that performance in line with The status of radio as one of the means of communication that has a large audience.
In this study, the researcher relied on a survey methodology on a deliberate sample of the media elite, consisting of 120 individuals of digital broadcasts listeners, distributed equally between the academic media elite and the professional media elite.

The study found a high percentage of the elite listening to digital broadcasts, as those who listen occasionally came in the first place with a rate of (45%), followed by those who listen permanently with a rate of (33.3%), then those who listen rarely came in the third place with a percentage of 21.7%, and Nujoom FM 100.6 ranked first in terms of the most listened-to radio station by the elite, followed by Radio 9090 FM in second place, and news bulletins came at the forefront of the preferred contents of the respondents, and the elite study sample indicated that while With regard to media performance standards, the average level of digital broadcasters' commitment to professional and ethical standards and social responsibility prevailed.
