Abstract

he research aims to study the characteristics of women’s traditional clothing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and invent designs inspired by Saudi traditional clothing to support small projects, and measure the degree of acceptance of specialists in the field of fashion design for the proposed designs, and measure the degree of acceptance of Saudi consumers of the proposed designs, and to achieve the objectives of the research used the descriptive analytical approach, The results revealed that the characteristics of traditional women’s clothing in Saudi Arabia were reached, as each region has its own distinct features from the other according to its customs, traditions and geographical nature. Life style, activity, customs and traditions, 20 design proposals inspired by women’s traditional clothing to support small projects and take into account the aesthetic and functional aspects.
