Practicing playing the piano to Enhancing surgical performance among students of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery - Damietta University - an experimental research.
The piano is considered one of the machines with wide capabilities, which has a great and effective role in the various fields of psychological and educational sciences, as it works on developing the motor and sensory skills of the hands, as well as developing the visual-kinesthetic synergy that connects between what the eye reads of melodies and what the fingers of the hands perform on the keyboard sensitively. And the skill to achieve the expressive aspect of each tone, and the muscular-kinetic synergy that links the movement of the parts of the hand (shoulder - forearm - wrist - fingers) and other muscular, mental and even visual skills as well. The piano helped raise the rate of concentration and memory for people with intellectual disabilities in the field of educational psychology, In the field of mental health, learning to play the instrument had positive results on the behavior of individuals with introverted personality in reducing the severity of their social isolation. Some mental abilities of children who suffer from cognitive difficulty in order to be able to keep pace with their peers in the learning process, and according to many studies, learning to play the piano may lead to enhancing the child’s language-building skills and comprehensive academic achievement, .
