Appropriate qualitative competencies for educational media students in light of the national academic reference standards and the sustainable development strategy (A field study)

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to determine the appropriate specific competencies for educational media students in light of the reference national academic standards and the sustainable development strategy (field study). This study belongs to descriptive studies and was applied to a sample of (60)individual students from the Educational Media Department at the Faculty of Specific Education, Banha University, divided into ( 30) were from the department’s third-year students and (30) were from the department’s fourth-year students. The questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data about this phenomenon. The questionnaire included e national academic standards and the sustainable development strategy:The first: Competencies in organizing the work nvironment. Second:ompetencies in planning and designing media positions. Third: Competencies in implementing educational positions. Fourth: Competencies for evaluating educational situations. The results of the current research resulted in a discrepancy in the responses of the third and fourth year students of the Educational Media Department regarding the level of their need for the specific competencies appropriate to them in light of the reference national academic standards and the sustainable development strategy among the members of the research sample according to the differences in the third and fourth year groups and also according to the number of courses they passed ( One course - two courses - more than three courses) in the fields of educational media and according to gender (males - females), where their responses ranged
