Self-care and its relationship to anger management strategies among the female head of household

Abstract

The aim of the current research is to study the relationship between self-care and anger management strategies among heads of household. The research tools were the general family data form, the self-care questionnaire for the head of the household, and the anger management strategies questionnaire. The research sample consisted of (250) heads of a household with specific characteristics (1) Egyptian. (2) Married, (2) Evaluated in a family structure, (3) Has one or more children, (5) Belongs to different social and economic levels. The sample was taken in a purposive manner according to specific characteristics. The research used the descriptive analytical method, and among the most important results of the research: The most common axes of self-care among the heads of families in the research sample are emotional care, then physical care, and finally social care. The most common anger management strategies among the heads of household in the research sample are the strategy of dissipating anger, then the strategy of ignoring, then the strategy of self-control. The results showed that there is a positive correlation with statistical significance at a significant level (0.01) between self-care in its dimensions and anger management strategies in its dimensions among the heads of households in the research sample. The most important recommendations of the research:. It is necessary to implement daily and weekly self-care sessions because of the impact this has on alleviating anger and family pressures and the possibility of confronting them.
