Abstract

The qanon is one of the most distinctive instruments in Arabic music. It has its own unique characteristics, a distinctive sound, and a wide range of vocal possibilities. The qanon also has a three-volume sound range, which allows for free movement and pitch conversion in accordance with the qanon playing style. The qanon contains many playing skills that require skill in performance, including the skill of speed. However, the researcher noticed that there are some difficulties that students face when playing pieces that contain fast rhythms with leaps. These require skill in performance. Therefore, the research problem is the difficulty in performing works that require the skill of speed and jumping between distances.it was necessary to address this problem and find a solution to facilitate this difficulty so that the student can perform the works correctly. The purpose of this research was to benefit from Henry Schradieck's exercises for the violin to overcome the difficulty of the speed skill on the qanon by inventing a set of proposed exercises derived from violin exercises. To achieve this goal, the researcher hypothesized that it is possible to derive some innovative and proposed exercises that may contribute to improving the speed skill . The selected sample contains a set of ideas that help to improve speed. The research concluded with the answer to the research question, recommendations, and proposals. The most important of these was to solve the playing difficulties in performance by linking them to some targeted exercises to achieve the safety of performance
