Egyptian women's exposure to dramatic content presented via digital platforms and its relationship to perception of the social reality of the family A field study

Abstract

The study aimed to identify Egyptian women’s exposure to dramatic content presented via digital platforms and its relationship to their perception of the social reality of the family by identifying the intensity of Egyptian women’s exposure to these platforms, as well as the motives for their exposure to dramatic content and their attitude towards the impact of dramatic content on the social reality of the family. That is through a field study of a sample of Egyptian women who watch dramatic content. In this study, the researcher relied on a survey method on a deliberate sample of Egyptian women consisting of 400 individuals
The study concluded that the Netflix platform came in the first place among the most viewed platforms among the study sample, and it also indicated that the medium level of exposure intensity came in the first place, followed by high exposure intensity in the second place, then the low level of exposure in the third place, and with regard to measuring the level of awareness of the sample members about the social reality of the Egyptian family. The average level of perception came in the first place, followed by the high level, The results also indicated that the hypothesis was proven to be true, stating that there is a statistically significant correlation between the intensity of the Egyptian women’s, the study sample , viewing of the dramatic content presented via digital platforms and their level of awareness of the social reality of the Egyptian family.
