Stress Management and its Relationship to the Quality of Life of Working Women

Abstract

This research aims to determine the nature of the relationship between stress management and quality of life among working women of the research sample, and predict the quality of their life through stress management. It aims at identifying the differences between rural and urban women and the variation in stress management and quality of life according to the duration of marriage and the monthly income.
The research followed the descriptive analytical approach, and the research sample consisted of (300) working women of different ages and jobs, from rural and urban areas, and from different educational levels.
The research discovered the presence of a positive correlation between stress management and quality of life for working women. It was found that there are differences between rural and urban women in stress management and quality of life in favor of rural women. There are no statistically significant difference in stress management and quality of life according to the number of years of marriage. It was also shown that there are statistically significant differences in stress management and quality of life according to the family's monthly income.
The research recommended creating comprehensive stress management training programs for working women,. Workshops should be held and training programs in various regions (rural and urban), and they should be provided also online, with availability at simple prices, in cooperation with women's organizations and civil society institutions.
