The Design Foundations for Jewelry in Contemporary Iraqi Art (Analytical Study)

     The research highlighted the importance of the foundations of the design system of jewelry and their representations in contemporary Iraqi art, and the research contained three chapters, the first chapter included the problem of research, its importance and objectives, as the research problem was embodied by the following question: What is the extent of the structural interconnectedness of the foundations of the design system of jewelry and their representations in contemporary Iraqi art ? The research also aimed to find design foundations in the design system for jewelry and their representations in contemporary Iraqi art that achieve aesthetic aspects
Through this, the importance of research has emerged as an intellectual tool of contemporary historical depth through which the past is read and linked to the present time, and is used as a basis for generating new and continuous shapes and designs, as it is the formal nucleus from which the Mesopotamian designs originate. As for the second chapter, it represented the theoretical framework of the topic and included three topics, the first of which came under the title Iraqi history, while the second chapter came to the design system used in contemporary Iraqi art, and the third research was titled Jewelry and Contemporary Iraqi Art.
As for the third chapter, it included results, the most important of which were:

The essential characteristics associated with contemporary Iraqi art were found to focus on the thought and belief of Mesopotamia in (3) out of (5) and to focus on societal identity in (1) of the same group.
The importance of the design system followed in contemporary Iraqi art was among the characteristics associated with the general body in (2) out of a total of (5).

As for the most important conclusions, they are: -

The essential characteristics associated with contemporary Iraqi art are based on thought, creed, social, cultural, and psychological and have a major role in the design process leading to the absorption of the industrial product in a way that contributes to attracting the attention of the buyer.
Explaining the role of the contemporary Iraqi artist in following the basics of the jewelry design system in contemporary Iraqi art by using his fundamentals As for the most important recommendations, they are: -

1- The necessity of investing in the theoretical framework investigations by adopting the design system for jewelry and its representations in contemporary Iraqi art to create industrial products at the intellectual and formal levels.
2- Digesting the general historical cultural heritage with industrial products in order to provide a common basis for understanding through which the ideas to be communicated are presented by the designer in order to achieve communication with the recipient..
