Abstract

Contemporary art is characterized by continuous intellectual and formative change as a result of experimental thought resulting from scientific and artistic developments that have caused a revolution in the directions of art, its philosophy and concepts.

This development in the fields of visual arts has also led to the dissolution of the differences between them, and accordingly, the concepts of contemporary art have changed the definition of the use of specific techniques or materials for each field, as well as the benefit from some techniques and materials in the fields of various arts for intended and multiple purposes. We do not find the artist expressing his work specifically within the framework of a material or technique specific to his artistic field only, which has led to the production of artistic works that respond to the requirements of the public.

The field of photography is one of the fields that has influenced other fields with its various artistic and technical methods. Hence, this study came to shed light on the marbling technique in photography as one of the ancient techniques and how to develop it, benefit from it, and apply its products in other artistic fields such as ceramics, textile printing, glass, decorative accessories, etc., which opens a fertile field for developing experimental thinking and the creative process for students, as well as encouraging them to establish small projects by benefiting from this technique and other photography techniques
