Abstract

as fractal geometry gives systems of infinite shapes using computer programs, which are a rich source that can be used to obtain designs with a unique aesthetic and design character for furniture. Fifteen proposed designs were presented for different types of furniture (pillow cover - bed cover - curtain - carpet - hanging - sofa brush - quilt - sheet - pedal - dining tablecloth - bed cover - children's quilt - pillow - tea tablecloth - sofa brushes). The proposed designs were evaluated and the agreement coefficient was applied to determine and select the best proposed designs through a questionnaire directed to specialists in the field of textiles and clothing, numbering (10) judges from different universities, including three axes for evaluation elements, which are in order (design aspect - functional aspect - aesthetic aspect) after measuring the validity and reliability of the questionnaire. The proposed designs were also evaluated using a questionnaire directed for all specialists in the field of clothing and textiles.

The results showed that the proposed designs achieved a degree of acceptance and success in light of the averages of the specialists’ evaluation of the design, aesthetic and functional aspects, and the presence of statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the averages of the evaluation axes in light of the averages of the specialists’ evaluation of the evaluation axes (as a whole), where the functional axis obtained the highest quality factor, followed by the aesthetic axis and then the design axis.
