THE HUSBAND'S LEADERSHIP BEHAVIOR AND ITS RELATIONSHIP TO THE QUALITY OF FAMILY LIFE AS PERCEIVED BY THE WIFE

Abstract

The current research aims to study the relationship between the husband's leadership behavior in its dimensions and the quality of family life in its dimensions. The research followed the descriptive analytical approach. The research tools were represented by a general data form, and two questionnaires on the husband's leadership behavior and the quality of family life. The research sample consisted of (426) wives who were chosen intentionally from different social and economic levels. After collecting the data, the SPSS program was used for statistical processing. Among the research results: There is a statistically significant positive correlation between the husband's leadership behavior in its dimensions and the quality of family life in its dimensions. There are statistically significant differences according to the place of residence in (quality: the economic level of the family, family relations, the total quality of family life questionnaire) in favor of urban areas. There is a statistically significant variation in the human and ethical behavior and the total leadership behavior of the husband according to the husband's age group. There is a statistically significant variation in the democratic style, human and ethical behavior and the total leadership behavior of the husband according to the wife's age group. Among the research recommendations: Working on improving the leadership behavior of husbands and enhancing their leadership skills; to contribute to improving the quality of family life.
