Frameworks of news websites treatmeant of Arab Political Crises: The Sudanese Crisis as a modle.

Abstract

This study aims to monitor, analyze, interpret the frameworks used to handle the Sudanese crisis in a sample of Arab news sites, and Foreign websites directed to Arabic. Defining the objectives of this treatment, and revealing the prominent active forces in it. It is a descriptive study, based on the survey method. The content analysis tool was applied to (Akhbar Al-Youm gate, Al Arabiya.net, and Alhurra) websites, from 1May, 2024, to 30 July, 2024, using a comprehensive inventory method, and was based on framework theory.

Study results:

1. The "Sudanese Suffering" category ranked first among topics related to the Sudanese crisis, followed by the "Number of Dead and Injured", then the "Proposed Solutions to the Crisis" category.

2. The (suffering) frame ranked first, followed by the (conflict) frame, then the (support) frame.

3. The Rapid Support Forces topped the list of effective forces, followed by the Sudanese Army, then Egypt in third place.

4. The (report) ranked first with a high percentage, followed by (news) in second place then (investigation) in third place.

Recommendations:

- Conduct more media studies on the framework analysis of crises and conflicts, combining conflict analysis with highlighting the human aspects of events.

- Train journalists to use diverse frameworks to present a comprehensive picture of crises and conflicts.
