Abstract
The current research aims to develop scientific practices, including ( asking questions, developing models, analyzing data, constructing interpretations, engaging in debate, and obtaining information,) among female home economics students at the College of Specific Education, using a project-based learning strategy. The research was conducted on a sample of 36 third-year students in the Home Economics Department. They were divided into two groups: the first, an experimental group, consisting of( 18) students, studied using a project-based learning strategy. The research was implemented in the project course for the specialization (Home and Institutional Management - Clothing and Textiles, Nutrition and Food Sciences)
The research materials and tools consisted of a trainer's guide and a trainee's guide, based on the project-based learning strategy. Scientific practices were tested, and data were analyzed, tabulated, and statistically analyzed using ( SPSS). Pre- and post-tests were used for research tools
A set of results was reached, the most important of which was the impact and effectiveness of using the project-based learning strategy in developing scientific practices among the female students targeted by the research sample. A set of recommendations was also reached, the most important of which was the need to integrate the project-based learning strategy into the educational curriculum due to its effective role in developing scientific practices among female students
