Abstract

It is a fact that tackling the artistic folklore heritage was, and is still a necessary approach for specialists in art education, as a record and the source of designing objectives of the theoretical and practical art education, which calls for more awareness, knowledge and artistic culture about the nature, origins and artistic content of the learners of art education. Hence, the artistic heritage has a fundamental function in art teaching areas be it theoreticalor applied.
The importance of the study lies in the knowledge of the nature and importance of Kuwaiti folklore as a heritage source for enriching arteducation courses both theoretical and applied in the primary stage, and the nature of visual knowledge and designing  skills inspired by the Kuwaiti folklore heritage, which may be useful in  the production of jewelry, and knowing of the level of growth of every pupil in fields of visual knowledge ,designing and forming skills related to the  production of the jewelry product , in addition to knowing the level of the artistic product produced by the pupils through following its production process.
The main reasons for the study are:
1-Teaching visual cognitive skills in the creation of all works of art in general and design in particular that are related to the Kuwaiti folkloreheritage, which is a fundamental requirement to address the lack of artistic vision of the pupils, and consequently their design and formative skills associated with the production of jewelry.
2-Teaching design skills of the ornaments and jewelry in the formation and formative processes in the fields of application is a matter that iscalled for in the fifth-grade primary teacher's guide for art education in the State of Kuwait.
3-The production of jewelry as a work of art is not done at once, but produced in stages (cognition, design, and formation).
The methodology of the study was based on four axes:
First: The Historical Method: To collect the scientific and technical material related to the Kuwaiti folkloreheritage (which is a follow-up study of Kuwaiti folkloreand analyzing it).
Second: The Descriptive Method: Analysis of descriptive approach in the Kuwaiti folkloreheritage, describing the changes that occur in the growth of visual knowledge and design and formative processes related to the jewelry work among the members of the sample.
Third: Experimental Method: The researcher uses the experimental unit (unit of study) in order to measure the differences before and after concerningvisual knowledge and the design and formative processes associated with the jewelryproduct of the sample members.
Fourth: Experimental Design:
1-     Measuring the visual knowledge before and after of the experimental group.
2-     Continuous measurement of the design processes associated with the work of the jewelry of the experimental group.
3-     Continuous measurement of the formation processes associated with the jewelryproduct of the experimental group.
4-     A follow measuringfor the visual knowledge and the design and formative processes of the jewelry product in the experimental group.
This is done with view to develop the productive fluency of the pupils of art education through:
1-The design of a proposed unit in the Kuwaiti folkloreto develop the visual knowledge, design and formative skills associated with the ornamentproduct for the fifth grade pupils of the primary stage.
2- Introducing thepupils to the elements of folklore, represented in jewelry, and training them on how to transfer their inscriptions to draw decorative shapes in regular ways to highlight the aesthetic aspects, through the use of rulers of the plastic shapes produced by the software, which mimic models of ornaments.
3-Using computing techniques using various drawing programs in the formation of decorations inspired by the Kuwaiti folklore.
Key findings and recommendations:

Taking care of training of pupils in the design processes, and giving them the opportunity of training to improve their performance to design the jewelry and ornaments. Out of this concept, the researcher proposes studying the design processes for jewelry and ornaments in educational stages other than the primary stage, for the purpose of interest in the Kuwaiti folklore.
The need to train teachers to master the skills of formation processes associated with jewelry, where it is proven from the study that their mastery of these skills associated with jewelry is reflected on the performance of pupils.
The researcher proposes to conduct a study on the extent to which teachers in the course of art education master the skills of formation processes associated with jewelry, to find out the impact on the performance of pupils of this stage.
