The Effectiveness of A Mentorship Program To Economically Empower University Youth and its Relationship to Their Future Orientations

The research aims mainly to prepare, implement and evaluate an indicative program to study the economic empowerment of university youth by identifying aspects of economic empowerment and studying the nature of the differences between university youth, the study sample in both dimensions of economic empowerment and the future orientation of its axes according to the different gender (males and females). This study followed the descriptive and analytical approach and the experimental method, and the data were classified and analyzed using the descriptive method through the number, percentages, arithmetic mean and standard deviation, as well as the analytical approach. Several tools were used by the researcher, which is a general data form, an economic empowerment questionnaire that includes three dimensions (planning For small projects, time investment, skills development)
Future orientation questionnaire, which included three axes, namely (future academic orientation - career future orientation - social future orientation), then an indicative program for developing awareness of economic empowerment that includes eight sessions and the sample of the field study included 276 students from the university's youth in Kafr El Sheikh, Menoufia and neighboring villages. The selection of the sample is in an intentional, purposeful manner, as it is required to be at the university level and from different social and economic levels. The experimental sample reached (19) of university youth and the selection was based on their low and medium awareness level from the lowest quartile of awareness of the importance of economic empowerment with their conviction and desire to participate in the program Heuristic,
The data was collected through a personal interview in the period from October - December 2018, and one of the most important results of the research was the existence of a positive statistically significant correlation between the economic empowerment of university youth and the future orientation, and the existence of a positive statistically significant correlation between the total economic empowerment and the educational level For the mother and the monthly income, the existence of statistically significant differences between the averages of university youth degrees in the total economic empowerment in favor of male university students, and the existence of statistically significant differences between the university youth scores averages in the total future orientation in favor of the university youth in urban areas.
The study presented a set of recommendations, the most important of which was to urge the creation of job opportunities for young people in various fields, and to qualify them for these opportunities through standards of competence, distinction, innovation and equality in rights and duties, which leads to the renaissance and progress of society.
