Abstract

research aims to study the effectiveness of a counseling program to enhance the awareness of the elderly about the Ingredients of active aging as an approach to improving the quality of life and its reflection on subjective well-being. A counseling program, and the rate of change occurring in the level of response was measured. The tools included a general data form for the elderly and their families, an awareness questionnaire about the components of active aging as an approach to improving the quality of life in its dimensions (possessing and enhancing soft skills, active social inclusion, digital culture, maintaining functional performance for physical health, economic and political inclusion), and a subjective well-being questionnaire with its axes (component The affective component (emotional balance), the cognitive component (life satisfaction), a counseling program to enhance the awareness of the elderly about the components of active aging as an approach to improving the quality of life.
The basic study sample consisted of (250) elderly women/men who were selected by chance. The experimental sample was chosen intentionally to implement the prepared guidance program. It was chosen from the lowest quartile of the low-level basic sample and their number reached (30) of the elderly. The descriptive, .
