The need to integrate generative AI technologies into teaching and learning environments has become urgent to support the development of students' skills. Therefore, this research aims to verify the effectiveness of applying generative AI ChatGPT in developing the ability to produce basic patterns for female students in the Home Economics Department. The research sample consisted of 128 female students registered in the fifth level in the Home Economics program, where they were randomly divided into two equal groups (control and experimental), and data were collected using a product evaluation card. The research reached a result indicating that there were statistically significant differences between the two groups in the ability to produce basic patterns in favor of the experimental group, which is evidence of the importance of generative AI in developing the productive capabilities of female students in the Home Economics Department.
